“Lemonzen” is done, so we’re up to six (plus one) songs recorded out of the ten. I was actually a little worried about this song because it had never quite reached my expectations when we played it live, but I am very happy with the results we got recording it. I had originally planned to add some 909 beats to this one and give it a nice bouncy beat, but now I am leaning towards leaving it completely beatless as it has a sort of elegant feel to it with just the melodic parts. I am not particularly happy with the noise parts (this is true of most of the songs), and there’s a couple melodic parts I will probably want to re-do, but overall, like I said, I’m pretty happy with it.
Next up is “Flicker”, another song I’m a little worried about, but hopefully it will go as smoothly as “Lemonzen” did.
Motivation is really starting to become a problem, I will need to force myself to work on things more as we hit the home stretch. I also want to make a rough continuous mix of the first four songs to hear how they all sound together.
